SEMI VS AUTOMATIC: WHICH SHOULD I CHOOSE?

When it comes to buying an AED, it is important to note that some AEDs come with different configurations. The difference is that a semiautomatic AED has a button that the rescuer can press if a shock is needed, and a fully automatic AED does not; it automatically shocks the patient if a shockable heartbeat is detected. If a shock is needed, semi-automatic AEDs prompt rescuers to press a shock button. fully – automatic AED is designed to deliver a shock automatically, if needed, without the rescuer having to press a button to deliver the shock. The device communicates step-by-step instructions that let rescuers know when a victim is about to be electrocuted.
